Innovasive Environmental (IE) is a small pre-seed startup that is undertaking a long term effort to address two significant issues of our time:
- environmental damage from invasive plant species
- rapidly evolving weed resistance to agricultural herbicides that are threatening food production worldwide.
It proposes as a potential solution a novel approach to develop plant species-specific herbicides based on the species’ genome that is non-toxic to the surrounding environment and population but effective for that plant species: a platform technology
